That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Good Woofer K9 Scholarship Program.
Starting in 2025, we’ll be awarding one lucky applicant a full scholarship to our most popular board-and-train program—designed to give both you and your dog the tools for success. Our programs go beyond basic commands—they focus on building trust, improving communication, and creating a lasting, positive bond between you and your dog. We’re here to remove the financial barrier, so you can focus on what truly matters: building a happier, more balanced life together.

Scholarship terms and conditions
Eligibility

Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Location: Scholarship available to residents within the United States. Please note this scholarship does NOT cover the cost of transportation. Keep this in mind if you do not live near Good Woofer K9 (central Florida).

Dog Ownership: Applicant must be the legal owner of the dog for which training is being requested.

Owner Involvement: The owner and, if applicable, the owner’s family must be willing and able to commit to the training process, including follow-up support and training maintenance.
Scholarship Program Details

Program Offered: Scholarship to the off-leash board-and-train (4-week) package. This is a value of $3,000. Click HERE for more information on this program.

Start Date: The scholarship recipient’s program start date will be determined based on the availability of both the recipient and Good Woofer K9.

Program Duration: Our board-and-train program usually lasts 4 weeks, based on the dog’s progress.

Program Location: The scholarship covers a board-and-train program located at the Good Woofer K9 facility.

Non-Transferability: The scholarship is non-transferable and can only be used for the dog and recipient specified in the application.
Application Process

Submission: An application can be submitted through our website. Owners MUST fill out an application in its entirety to be considered. If selected, recipient may be asked to produce vet records and proof of ownership of the dog.

Deadline: Applications will be accepted until January 18, 2025, at 11:00pm EST.

Notification: Recipient will be notified via email no later than January 31, 2025.
Responsibilities of the Recipient

Commitment to Training: The recipient must commit to:

An on-camera interview before and after training
-
An after-training “train the owner” session (about 2 hours long) at the owner’s residence (if location allows)

Keeping up with the training protocols to maintain the desired results

Behavior Expectations: The recipient agrees to work diligently on the training and strategies provided during the program.

Communication: The recipient agrees to maintain communication with the Good Woofer K9 team throughout the training process, providing feedback, as necessary.
Program Costs and Coverage

Covered Costs: The scholarship covers board-and-train 4-week, off-leash package and all training equipment.

Excluded Costs: The following are NOT covered by the scholarship:

Transportation to and from Good Woofer K9 for board-and-train. The recipient can choose to transport the dog to Good Woofer K9 or Good Woofer K9 can transport the dog for an additional fee based on mileage.

Dog food and any other supplies needed for the dog’s wellbeing during training (examples: medication, supplements, etc.)

Termination and Cancellation

Eligibility Withdrawal: An applicant’s eligibility for the scholarship may be withdrawn under the following conditions:

Failure to meet program requirements.

Dishonesty in application

Voluntary Withdrawal: If the recipient wishes to voluntarily withdraw, we ask that it is done so in writing.
Consent to Share Stories/Photos

The recipient agrees to allow the program to use photos, stories, and testimonials for promotional purposes.
Acceptance of Terms: By applying for the scholarship, the applicant agrees to all terms and conditions outlined above.
